Message	way more than public universities. I agree that the value of a degree is not the same as it once was (primarily because now everyone has one), but irrelevant to public vs. private university debate. Oh, except for the fact that the recent "bumper crop" of private (and mostly very expensive) schools has probably been the biggest contributor to devaluation of degrees.
